Laws have been voted in many countries to stop the traditional practice of excision of young girls. The villagers have a heated discussion on its prohibition. The arguments diverge, but in the end everybody agrees that this traditional practice has serious consequences on children and women’s health (the risk of infection, haemorrhaging and difficult childbirth) and that it is time to think about its abolition and respecting the law.
